GAZIPUR: The Mawna Flyover on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur’s Sreepur area will be inaugurated on the first week of April.

Road Transport and Bridges minister Obaidul Quader made the remarks while talking to reporters at Mawna at around 4:00pm Friday.

Obaidul Quader earlier also visited the development work of Joydebpur to Bhaluka road.

He said 96 percent works of the road have been finished and this will be opened on the first week of April to inaugurate the flyover.

The minister said the work of Joydebpur-Bhaluka road will be concluded by Army till May.

While answering to a query, Obaidul said “We faced traffic congestion in several areas of the highway. Moreover, the business organizations of the hartal and blockade supporters also kept open during the hartal.”
