DHAKA: The country incurred losses over two lac crores of Taka due to hartal and blockade in last two months.
Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) president Kazi Akram Uddin made the comment while addressing a roundtable at a city hotel on Saturday.
Regional Anti-Terrorist Research Institute (RATRI) organized the roundtable titled- “Violence, Militancy, Dialogue and Reality”.
RATRI executive director Major General (retd) AK Mohammad Ali Shikder presented the keynote of the discussion.
Kazi Akram said, “We are destroying the potentiality of Bangladesh. We don’t want dialogue, but end of ongoing violence. This has to be stopped for the sake of our country.”
“Father of the Nation Bangabandhu called for political freedom on March 7. But country is experiencing bitter consequence due to killings of 1975. We don’t want the rise of any third power,” he added.
