DHAKA: A Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) emergency department physician was hurt in a cocktail blast in the city on Saturday afternoon.

Sources said that Dr Prova, assistant registrar of casualty department of DMCH, received splinter injuries by the road of Central Shaheed Minar.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, DMCH emergency department residential surgeon Riaz Morshed said that the victim received the injuries while she was passing the area by a rickshaw after her duty.

Pedestrians rescued and admitted her to DMCH, he added.
