SYLHET: A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police on Sunday noon conducted a drive in the Sylhet house of Shafiur Rahman Farabi, who is a suspected detainee in blogger and writer Avijit Roy killing case.

With the assistance of Sylhet Kotwali Thana, a 3-member DB police team from Dhaka went to the rented house of Farabi in Munsipara of Sylhet town.

Sources said that Farabi’s mother and sister, who were living in the house, did not stay during the drive.

Confirming the matter, Sylhet Metropolitan Police additional deputy commissioner (media) Mohammad Rahmat Ullah said that police also seized a laptop, a desktop CPU and some pieces of papers during the drive.
