MOULVIBAZAR: A 35-year old man, named Jila Mia, was chopped dead by rivals in Gujarai village under Sadar upazila early Friday.

Local sources said there was a longstanding dispute between Jila and Saimun Mia of the same village. On Friday, Saimun along with his cohorts attacked Jila Mia and chopped him mercilessly.

Later locals rushed him to Sadar Hospital where doctor declared him dead.

Moulvibazar Model Thana ASI Mohsin Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews and added the body was sent for autopsy and the killer was arrested.
