COMILLA: Police recovered 13 petrol bombs and 11 cocktails in abandoned condition from Bhittola area of Eliotganj under Daudkandi Upazila of the district Friday night.

Mohammad Abu Salam Mia, Officer-in-Charge of Daudkandi Model Thana, told banglanews that being tipped off, a team of the police conducted drive in the area and recovered the petrol bombs and cocktails kept in two bags in an abandoned condition from the bush around 8:00pm.

Criminals might have kept the explosive items there to create anarchy on Dhaka-Chittagong highway, he added.
