Nur Hossain’s aide on 7-day remand

NARAYANGAJ: A district court Tuesday placed Abdur Rahman alias Raham Ali, an aide of sensational seven-murder main accused Nur Hossain, on seven-day remand. 

Senior Judicial Magistrate Chandni Rupom passed the order when DB police of produced him before the court with 10-day remand plea.

Court police inspector Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Advocate Sakhawat Hossain moved for the plaintiff in the court.

Earlier in the evening of March 23, law enforcers arrested Raham Ali from Burichong of Comilla.

On April 27 of 2014, Narayanganj city panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his driver and three associates, and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver were abducted separately from Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road.

On April 30, police recovered six bodies and on Mar 1 another body from Shitlakhya River.

Two cases were filed in this regard in which Siddhirganj Thana Awami League president Nur Hossain, also Narayanganj City Corporation councilor, was made the main accused.

So far 30 accused, including 17 RAB personnel, were arrested in two cases.
