DHAKA: Professor Dr Kamrul Hasan Khan, Chairman of Pathology Department, has been appointed as Vice Chancellor (VC) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

BSMMU Chancellor President Abdul Hamid made the appointment Tuesday, confirmed varsity Public Relation officer Pranta Kumar Mazumder.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Health Minister Mohammad Nasim recommended Dr Kamrul to the President.

The appointment was made as Professor Dr Pran Gopal Datta completed his two-year VC regime Tuesday.
