DHAKA: A blogger named Washiqur Rahman, 35, was chopped dead by miscreants at Tejgaon area in the capital on Monday morning.

Police, with the help of pedestrians, detained two of the killers red-handed from the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Tejgaon Industrial area Salahuddin confirmed the matter adding, “Miscreants chopped Washiqur mercilessly in the area. We took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.”

Police managed to arrest two killers with the help of locals, he added.
