TANGAIL: Two madrasa students were killed in a road crash in Jogarchar area under Kalihati Upazila of the district Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Elina, 16 and Marzina, 16, of Garilabari area of the upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bangabandhu East Thana Akheruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the accident took place around 1:30pm when the speedy truck rammed into the auto-rickshaw carrying the two madrasa girls on their way to home after appearing the Dakhil examination.

The accident left the Elina and Marzina dead on the spot and four others injured.
