DHAKA: At least eight people were killed and scores injured in lightning in seven districts after Sunday noon.

The deceased included 2 from Comilla and one from Jhenaidah, Jessore, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Khulna and Manikganj each, said Banglanews correspondents from their respective districts.

In Comilla, two brothers Mohammad Hasan (28) and Rafiq Hazari (35), sons of Abdul Qader of Nabipur village, were killed in lightning in Debidwar upazila of the district.

Moreover, a farmer Zahir Uddin (30) was killed in Jhenaidah while a student Nuruzzaman (12) in Jessore, Sumon Mia (16) in Sunamganj, a farmer Motahar Ali (45) in Sylhet, a worker Abul Kashem (42) in Khulna and a woman Chapela Begum (40) in Manikganj.
