NARAYANGANJ: Activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islam, set fire to a passenger bus hurling petrol bomb at Don Chamber area of the district town on Monday afternoon.

Police and witnesses said that some 30/35 Shibir men brought out a procession on Nawab Salimullah road and hurled petrol bomb on a bus of Ananda Paribahan.

Passengers got down hurriedly from the bus and no one was reportedly hurt. Later fire service team doused the fire.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Thana Monjur Kader said police nabbed a youth in connection to the arson.
