MUNSHIGANJ: A college student was electrocuted in Baroipara area under Sirajdikhan Upazila of the district Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Hridoy Qazi, 20, a BA first year student of Malkhanagar Degree College and also a cable network technician.

He was a son of Shamsul Qazi, hailed from Kazirbagh village of the upazila.

Locals told banglanews that Hridoy came to a live wire while repairing a dish cable connection at a house in the area, leaving him injured critically.

They rushed Hridoy to Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty physician declared him dead.
