DHAKA: The newly appointed diplomats to Bangladesh from Chili, Colombia and Georgia have separately met foreign minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Tuesday, said a release,
Chilean ambassador Andrés Augusto Barbe Gonzalez met the minster first, followed by Colombian Ambassador Monica Lanzetta Mutis and Georgian Ambassador Levan Nizharadze.
Chilean Ambassador praised Bangladesh’s socio-economic progress including women’s empowerment, education, and health sectors.
Colombian Ambassador expressed her interest in strengthening and extending bilateral trade and economic relation between Bangladesh and Colombia.She also showed her willingness to visit different universities and pharmaceutical factories of in Bangladesh. The foreign minister instructed the officials concerned to take necessary measures on the matter.
Georgian ambassador, who met Ali at last, discussed the issues of regular foreign office consultancy between Bangladesh and Georgia and visit of a business delegation led by Ali his country.
