HABIGANJ: Four people, including a one-year-old kid, were killed in road accident near to Agradut filling station at sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

Of the deceased, three were identified as Lal Mia, 50, of Doulatpur village, Samia, 1, daughter of Shahed Mia and Karim Mia, 40, of same village of Baniachang Upazila.

Police said a battery-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a tractor (power tiller) on Habiganj-Nabiganj regional road around 8:45am, leaving one person dead on the spot and others injured.

Later, three injured were taken to Sadar Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
  
Habiganj Sadar Thana officer in charge Nazimuddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.
