DHAKA: Four people were killed and three others injured in two road accidents in Dinajpur and Naogaon districts Saturday afternoon.

Banglanews Dinajpur Correspondent said two motorcyclists were killed on Dinajpur-Phulbari highway in Kaogao area under sadar upazila as a truck knocked the bike down around 1:45pm.

The deceased were identified as Sajad Hossain, 35, who died on the spot and Majedur Rahman, 27.

Dinajpur Kotowali Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Khalequzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said injured Majedur Rahman was taken to Dinajpur Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

On the other hand, Banglanews Naogaon Correspondent said two passengers of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw were killed and three others injured in an accident on Raninagar-Abadpukur road in Puthia area under Raninagar upazila in the afternoon.

The accident took place as a truck hit the auto-rickshaw around 2:30pm. The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Local people said the truck rammed into the auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured were admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital, they added.

Raninagar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Masud confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
