4 burnt in Moulvibazar shops fire

MOULVIBAZAR: Four people received burn injuries in a devastating fire which broke out in Phulertal Bazar under Kulaura upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The victims claimed that they faced loss of around Tk 4 crore as the blaze destroyed 15 shops.

Baramchal Union Parishad chairman Imran Ahmed Chowdhury told banglanews that the fire originated at a shop in the area around 8:00am that engulfed the adjacent shops.

Being informed the fire fighters unit from Kulaura rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

However, four shop owners also received burn injuries while they tried to douse the fire.

The injured were taken to Kulaura Upazila Health Complex.

Kulaura Fire Station Officer M Mizanur Rahman told banglanews that the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.

They suspected that the fire might origin from stove of a hotel.
