DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi in city commemorating the formation of historic Mujibnagar Government.

The premier placed the wreath at 7pm. Later, she again placed another wreath along with the top leaders of the party as its president.

Following the premier, several associate bodies of the party and cultural organizations placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu.

The wings of AL include Jubo League, Chhatra League, Swechhsebok League, Mohila Awami League, Jubo Mohila League, Sramik League, Tanti League, Krishak League and Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote.
