DHAKA: A pick-up helper was killed and its driver injured in a road accident in front of the office of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2 at Mohammadpur in city early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Rajon, 20, son of one Abul Hashem, hailed from Kalkini of Madaripur district and used to live in a rented house at Ibrahimpur area under Kafrul Thana in city.

Deceased’s relative Amjad Hossain told banglanews while driving a potable water carrying pick-up, they knocked against a passenger bus that was waiting in the area around 6am, leaving both driver and helper of the pick-up injured.

Rajon was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of DMCH police camp Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
