JESSORE: Miscreants shot and hacked two youths to death at Arpara village under Sadar upazila of the district Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Joynal, 38, son of Abbas Ali and Litu, 28, son of Abdel Ali of Tarafdarpara of Hashimpur village of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jessore Kotwali Thana Shikdar Akkas Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said, being informed by the locals, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from Ghurulia field of the area around 9:00am.

Later, the bodies were sent to the Jessore 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The bodied bore shot injuries and wound spot by lethal weapons, the OC added.

He also claimed that they were accused in several cases and also members of extremist gang of the area.

Another sources also claimed that Joynal and Litu were involved with local Awami League (AL) unit.

While contracted with President Toffazal Hossain of Sadar upazila Ichhali Union AL unit said the duo were AL members but Joynal was accused of invoving with terrorism.
