GAZIPUR: Mother of two Army persons was killed and their father and sister were injured in robbers’ attack in Bhaoraid village under Sadar upazila early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Khorsheda Begum, 50.

Police and locals said that a group of robbers broke into the house of one Anwar Hossain, 60, victim’s husband and chopped three members of the family badly, leaving one dead.

The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Joydebpur Thana Office-in-Charge Rezaul Hasan.

Mohammad Yahia and Mohammad Ruhul Quddus, two sons of Anwar Hossain, are serving in Bangladesh Army.
