DHAKA: A gang of ‘Aggyan Party’ snatched Tk 2-lakh from a businessman in city Saturday morning.

The victim, identified as Belal Hossain of Sankokathi village of Gournadi Thana in Barisal, is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Belal, who has been running a business of corrugated iron sheets in the area, came to Naya Bazar in the city to purchase goods for his shop.

Belal’s colleague Mohammad Ibrahim told banglanews that he also came Dhaka on Saturday morning from his village. ‘Suddenly, I get a phone call from Belal’s at 11:00am,’ he said adding more, ‘I found him unconscious in city’s Phulbaria area and rushed him to DMCH’.

‘Later, I was informed from the victim’s family that he came in Dhaka with Tk 2-lakh for buying goods for his shop,’ he added.
