COMILLA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed 61-km dual-gauge double rail-line from Laksam to Chikni Astana on Dhaka-Chittagong rail route.

The premier inaugurated the track through video conference at 5:35pm in the day.

She also inaugurated the Chittagong Railway Station Yard Remodeling work and laid the foundation stone of the construction of Laksam to Akahura dual-gauge double line.

Planning minister AFM Mostafa Kamal, railway minister Mujibun Haque, Tajul Islam, MP, Comilla deputy commissioner Hasanuzzaman Kallal, among others, were present at Laksam Railway Junction station during the inauguration.
