DHAKA: A total of 104 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country Sunday to ensure security during Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

BGB Headquarters public relations officer Mohsin Reza confirmed the matter to banglanews on Saturday night.

Reza said some 104 platoons of BGB will remain deployed countrywide from the morning.

Of the platoons, 66 will assist the other law enforcement agencies and 81 will provide on the different highways, he added.

The HSC and its equivalent examinations have been underway at a total of 2,419 centers across the country since April 1.

A total of 1,073,884 students under 10 education boards, including one madrasah and one technical board, had registered to sit for the exams from 8,305 educational institutions.
