MYMENSINGH: Two men were killed in nor'wester in Muktagachha and Fulbaria upazilas of the district early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Jalal Uddin Bhutto, 29, of Santoshpur of Muktagacha upazila and Abdul Karim, 50, of Radhakanai Bazar area of Fulbaria upazila.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Muktagachha Thana Kamal Hossain told banglanews that during the storm hundreds of houses, trees and crops worth Tk 50 lakh were also damaged.

Besides, Fulbaria Thana OC Rifat Khan Rajib told that Abdul Karim died of heart attack after a tree was uprooted by the storm and fell upon a shop around 12:30am.

Houses, trees and crops also damaged in the storm, the OC added.
