DHAKA: A total of 105 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country on Tuesday to ensure security during Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations.

BGB Headquarters public relations officer Mohsin Reza confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday night.

Reza said some the BGB platoons will remain deployed countrywide for next 24 hours from Tuesday morning.

Of them, 63 platoons will assist the other law enforcement agencies and 71 will provide escort on different highways, he added.

The HSC and its equivalent examinations have been underway at a total of 2,419 centers across the country since April 1.

A total of 1,073,884 students under 10 education boards, including one madrasah and one technical board, had registered to sit for the exams from 8,305 educational institutions.
