DHAKA: At least 16 passengers of a bus sustained injuries in a road accident near to Bar Council in city’s Matsya Bhaban area on Saturday morning.

The injured—Nayam, 28, Pir Ali, 65, Mafijul, 24, Abdur Rahman, 32, Fatema, 55, Billal,30, Ali Nur, 65, Rahima, 50, Jobila, 50, Momita,13, Jasmin Akhter, 13, Soheld, 28, Tusar, 22, Amir Ali, 65, Monir Molla, 45 and Arif, 30 were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Injured bus passenger Soheld told banglanews that a bus of Megla Paribahan hit a roadside tree as its driver lost control over the steering in the area around 10:30am, leaving 16 people injured.

Shahbagh Thana sub-inspector Rabiul along with passers-by rushed the injured to DMCH, he added.
