7.5 earthquake jolts country

DHAKA: A massive earthquake has been felt in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Sylhet and several other parts of the country.

The tremor was felt around 12:11pm on Saturday. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

The quake measured over 7.5 on the Richter scale.

The epicentre lays 77 km North West of Katmandu, Nepal,UGS data showed.

The jolt was also strongly felt in different parts of neighboring India.
