DHAKA: Three buildings, including ASA Tower, have tilted at different places in the capital on Saturday noon during 7.5 earthquake that jolted Bangladesh, Nepal and India.
Of these, ASA tower located in capital’s Shyamoli area, a six-storey building in Ershadnagar and another multi-storey building at Nababpur.
On information, fire service unit rushed to the spot, said control room inspector Shahjadi Sultana.
ASA Tower housed the head office of Bangladesh-based NGO ASA, campus of ASA University of Bangladesh, branch of South East Bank and several other offices.
A massive earthquake has hit Bangladesh, Nepal and north and north-east India on Saturday noon.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department said a 7.5-magnitude of earthquake jolted the country, 745 km (North- West of BMD Seismic Centre, Agargaon of Dhaka at 12:11:25pm Bangladesh time.
