DHAKA: United Nations Resident Coordinator Robert Watkins welcomed largely peaceful environment in Dhaka, Chittagong on the eve of the city corporation elections.

Office of UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh issued a statement on Sunday.

In the pre-election statement, Robert Watkins encouraged voters to exercise their right to vote on 28 April in this important democratic process in the country.

The United Nations urged all concerned to ensure a transparent, peaceful, and inclusive election process.
