DHAKA: The High Court asked the authority concerned to know about the equipments bought for the post-earthquake rescue operations in the country.

A bench comprising Justice Kazi Rezaul-Haque and Justice Abu Taher Mohammad Saifur Rahman passed the order after the hearing on a supplementary plea.

Earlier on July 29, 2009, the HC made an order regarding the purchase of equipments for post-tremor rescue operations.

It also asked the home and disaster management secretaries, fire service and civil defense director general and director (management) to inform the court by May 12 regarding the development of the previous order.

Advocate Manzil Morshed stood for the appeal.

He told banglanews that the HC has wanted to know about the government steps taken after the court’s order.
