CHITTAGONG: Mother and her son were killed as a mini truck and CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head-on in Charia Buripukur Par area under Hathazari Thana on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Sanjita Nath, 35, wife of late Bimol Nath and their son Hridoy Debnath, 13, of Purba Dhalainath Para.

Local Dhalai Union Parishad member Badiul Alam told banglanews that the mini truck and auto rickshaw collided head-on in the area around 1:00pm, leaving the duo severely injured.

Locals rushed them Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead.

CMCH police outpost duty officer Nayek M Jahangir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
