DHAKA: Police recovered three bodies from different parts of the city on Saturday.
Decomposed body of an unidentified woman was recovered from a residential building in city’s Jatrabari area around 12:15pm.
Jatrabari Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abani Shangkar Kar told banglanews they were taking preparation to send the body to Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Moreover, a patient, identified as Nazrul Islam (50), died as he fell from the first floor of Kidney Foundation and Research Institute in city’s Mirpur area at noon.
The institute’s official Rafiqul Islam told banglanews that the patient was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition.
DMCH emergency department physician Rubina Parvin announced him dead around 1:30pm.
Besides, a private car driver Nuru Mia (45) died as wire ropes of a lift snapped at a residential house in city’s Dhanmondi area at 3:00pm in the day.
Caretaker of the house Mohammad Sumon told banglanews that the victim was injured critically as wires of the lift snapped while he was coming down from the house’s third floor.
Nuru was rushed to DMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him dead on arrival, the caretaker added.
DMCH camp police assistant sub-inspector (SI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
