DHAKA: State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal commented that the allegation regarding former BNP lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu’s death is ill-motivated as he was provided all medical facilities in jail.
Kamal came up with this remark while talking to media after a program at Bangladesh Police Dhaka range office in city’s Segun Bagicha area on Sunday.
Earlier, Pintu’s family alleged that he was killed in jail.
However, Pintu was serving life sentence in prison for his involvement in 2009 BDR mutiny.
Nasiruddin felt pain in his chest at Rajshahi jail. He was immediately taken to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), where on-duty doctor declared him dead at 12:20pm.
