DHAKA: The body of former BNP lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu has been taken to party’s Naya Paltan central office in the city at 10:40am Monday.
His namaj-e-janaza will be held in front of the office where BNP leaders and activists including its chairperson Khaleda Zia will pay tribute to Pintu.
Later, the former lawmaker will be buried in city’s Azimpur graveyard after his third Namaz-e-Janaza will be held in Leather Technology field.
Earlier in the day, Pintu’s body was taken to his residence in city’s Hazaribagh area from Rajshai after the first namaz-e-Janaza at metropolitan’s Hetem Khan Boro Mosque.
On Sunday, Nasiruddin Pintu, who was serving life in prison for involvement in the 2009 BDR mutiny, died of cardiac arrest in Rajshahi.
