NARAYANGANJ: Agitated mob lynched a miscreant in Tamakpotti area under Sadar Thana of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Asaduzzaman Sujon, 35, son of Ranju Miah of Naluapara area of the district.

Quoting locals Narayanganj Sadar Model Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahmudul Hasan said Sujan riding a motorcycle roaming in the area.

At one stage, he attempted to attack locals when they obstructed his suspicious movement.

Then, the agitated mob gave him a good thrashing that left him severely injured.

The injured were taken to the 100-bed Narayanganj General Hospital and later referred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital

But, Sujan succumbed to his injuries on the way to DMCH, the SI added.
