GOPALGANJ: Four people including a woman were killed and three others were injured in a road accident in Char Prosonnodi area under Moksedpur Upazila Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Kamana Biswash, 35, wife of Shudhir Biswash, and Kanai Ojha, 35, son of Josho Ojha, of Ghosalkandi village, Noa Khan, 50, of Char Prosonnodi, and Sirajul Sheikh, 40, son Isharat Sheikh of Tekerhat. All hailed from Moksedpur Upazila.

Police sources said that the accident took place when a pulse-laden truck collided-head-on with a human-hauler, carrying passengers, in the area on Dhaka-Barisal highway around 6:75am, leaving four people dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured was admitted at Rajoir Upazila Health Complex while the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families.

Officer-In-Charge M Hossain Sarkar of Bhanga highway police confirmed the matter to banglanews.
