DHAKA: An older man was killed as a bus ran over him in Khilkhet area of the city Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was identified as Emdadul Haque Kohinur, 60, hail from Kalibari area under Ishwarganj Thana in Mymensingh district.

Deceased relative Azhar Ali said a speedy bus ran over him when he got down from another bus in the area around 4:00am.

Locals rushed Kohinur to the Kurmitola General Hospital and later shifted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) as his condition deteriorated where the attending doctors declared him dead.

DMCH police camp Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASP) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
