DHAKA: A US Navy P-8A aircraft with crew and maintenance personnel that landed in Bangladesh on Friday has left the country on Saturday.

The US personnel came to assist the search efforts of a missing US Marine UH-1Y Huey helicopter that recently went down in Nepal while conducting earthquake relief efforts, a US embassy press release said this morning.

‘The P-8A and associated personnel have left Bangladesh because the requirement for the aircraft’s capabilities is no longer needed since the downed helicopter has been located,’ the release added.
