LAXMIPUR: At least 10 people were injured as a group of robbers shot indiscriminately in Ramganj upazila of Laxmipur district.

The incident took place on Tuesday night at Lamchar Bazar of the upazila.

Lamchar Union Parishad member Abdul Kuddus said an enlisted robber Shah Alam and his aides wearing masks came to the bazaar and suddenly started shooting indiscriminately.

The shooting left at least 10 people injured, he added.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Ramganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Lokman Hossain said that police are conducting drives to arrest Shah Alam as he is a wanted criminal.
