Lightning kills 2 women in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH: Lightning killed two women in Aloakhoya union of Atoari upazila in Panchagarh district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Budo Rani (50), wife of Palanu Chandra Singh and her neighbor Sabita Rani (30), wife of Ishwar Chandra.

Witnesses said the women were busy in their household works on the yard amid drizzling. A sudden thunderbolt killed them on the spot.

Aloakhoya Union Parishad chairman Mohammad Towhidul Islam confirmed the matter to bagnalnews.
