2 siblings burnt alive in M’singh

MYMENSINGH: Police on Sunday recovered the charred bodies of two minor sisters as a fire broke out at their Raghurampur village home under Fulpur Upazila of the district early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Soma Akter 6, and Tamanna Akter, 4, daughters of Mokhlesur Rahman of the village.

Police sources said that the fire originated from the kitchen around 12:30am, and soon engulfed entire house, owned by one Mokhlesur Rahman of the village.

All of the family members managed to escape the fire except those two minors as they were sleeping. The fire burnt the kids alive.

On information, police recovered the bodies around 9:30am.

However, the damages caused by the fire could not be estimated.
