SATKHIRA: At least three persons were killed and 20 others injured as a passengers bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Subhasini area under Tala upazila of the district Sunday.

Details of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Tetulia Union Parishad chairman Miajan Morol told banglanews from the spot that a passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch on Khulna-Satkhira highway in the area around 11:30am as its driver lost control over steering.

The mishap killed three people on the spot and injured 20 others.

The injured were rushed to the upazila hospital.

The bus, carrying passengers, was coming to Satkhira from Khulna.

Tala Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Meanwhile, a unit of Fire Service and Civil Defense was on way to the spot to reuse the others.
