2 suspects arrested over gang rape

DHAKA: Two suspected people have been arrested in the case of a gang rape of woman inside a microbus in city’s Kuril area.

Teams of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested them from Dhaka and Patuakhali on Tuesday night.

The arrestees are Ashraf Khan alias Tusar and driver Lovlu.

RAB legal and media wing director Mufti Mahmood Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Five youths dragged the girl into a microbus at Kuril Biswa Road and later she was gang-raped inside a running microbus on Thursday night.
