COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained a Myanmar citizen with 30,400 pieces of yaba tablet in Damdamiya area of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.

The man has been identified as Shamsul (20), son of Kala Mia.

Teknaf BGB-42 captain Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jaar Al-Jahid told banglanews that the detainee, who was held on Tuesday night, is a resident of Mongdu port city of Myanmar.

Process of handing over the detainee to Teknaf Thana is underway, he added.
