DHAKA: After being accorded civic reception for giving services to the country, Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina said it is the countrymen who deserve the recognition.
The premier was addressing the reception ceremony accorded by ‘Jatiya Nagorik Committee’ at Suhrawardy Udyan of the city Friday afternoon.
Sheikh Hasina said, “Vested quarters wanted to defeat Bangalees by tarnishing the image of liberation war in the black night of 1975. I returned Bangladesh to restore the country’s reputation. My father loved the country and its fellow citizens from soul. I always follow the path.”
