BOGRA: Show cause notices will be served on 14 educational institutions in Sherpur upazila for not observing the National Mourning day on August 15.

Sherpur upazila Nirbahi Office Md. Manjur Alam, told banglanews24.com.bd, “Managements of those 14 schools did wrong for not observing the national mourning Day. So show cause notices are being served. Legal action will be taken against them if necessary”.

Earlier, the Education Ministry sent letters to all upazilas on 29 July for observing the day.

The institutions are : Khamarkandi High School, Khamarkandi Dakhil Madrasa, Parvinpur Madrasa, Shibpur Junior High School, Hatgari Junior High School, Phuljor High School, Sutrapur High School, Jorgachha High School, Sheemabari Womens’ College, Emco Technical and BM College, Altadighi Senior Fazil Madrasa, Malihata Junior High School, Birakair High School and Bishalpur High School.
