DHAKA: The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have been published Saturday morning with overall pass percentage of 87.04 which is 4.3 percent lower than that of last year.
A total of 1,11,901 students had secured GPA-5.
Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid, accompanied by the chairmen of all education boards, handed over the copies of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gonobhaban at 10:00am.
The minister will unveil the results at a press conference at secretariat around 1:00pm.
The results will be available at www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and at the websites of the education boards concerned following the unveiling of the results from 1:30pm.
This year SSC and its equivalent examinations began on February 6. Written tests ended on June 6 while practical examinations were held between March 29 and April 2.
This year, a total of 1,479,266 students - 733,220 male and 699,525 female - participated in the examinations from some 27,808 educational institutions across the country and 1,282,618 students passed.
