RANGPUR:  Two people were killed and four other injured in a road accident in Gonjipur area on Jaldhaka regional highway in the district on Sunday night.

Identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

Quoting witnesses, police said a auto-rickshaw collided head on with a Shallow-engine run Bhatbhati in the area around 10:30pm, leaving two people dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

Gangachhara Thana Officer in Charge (OC) Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
