DHAKA: Customs authorities seized 200 tablet PCs worth Tk 50 lakh which were brought deceitfully at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city on Monday.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) assistant director Umme Nahida confirmed the matter to banglanews.

She said UCC Technology Limited brought the tablet PC through Midline Express Courier service. The authorities seized the tabs from the airport’s cargo unit around 11:45am.

Legal actions will be taken under Customs Act against the organization, Nahida added.
